Martin Hubinger

Martin joined the VHLF to help promote what he reveres the most – freedom, compassion and cooperation – and also to help promote the legacy of Vaclav Havel who remains the most significant Czech politician in the modern history and an invaluable symbol of high moral and intellectual standards.

Martin is a lawyer by trade but his core business activities are related to real estate. He is a co-founder and director of T.E Development Group, a group of companies that focus on real estate development and construction. He is also a co-founder of an ICT project HomeSeaker, an on-line aggregator of advertisement and marketing of real estate and a tool for consumer behaviour analytics. On the side of real estate finance, he is the founder and investment committee member of IMPERATIO Equity, a collective investment scheme that focuses on different stages of real estate project cycle and investment opportunities related thereto.

Prior to running his own business, Martin practiced law in Prague with several tier one NYC and London based law firms where he focused on real estate, M&A and finance. He later joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he served as the desk officer for China and was also responsible for control of military and dual-use goods exports to Asia. He also spent four years posted in Malaysia as the deputy-ambassador. Upon return to the Czech Republic, Martin left the diplomatic corps and started his business.

Martin lives with his family – his wife Maky and dogs Anjee and Ari, with whom he loves to spend the majority of his time.
